Interesting Album: Ornette Coleman - New York Is Now! (1968)
In addition to the alto sax, Coleman also plays the trumpet and violin. He’s joined by Jimmy Garrison and Elvin Jones, two-thirds of John Coltrane’s former rhythm section. Dewey Redman is on the tenor sax.
Blue Note records was acquired by Liberty records in 1965. This is an original Liberty pressing from 1968.
